iHeartMedia and FOX Entertainment have announced on January 27 the nominees for the highly anticipated 2022 iHeartRadio Music Awards. Now in its ninth year, let’s find out which artists are in the running and which will be bringing home a trophy.
Justin Bieber dominates the awards show with nine nominations in different categories, including two of his latest hits – ‘Peaches’ which features Daniel Caesar and Giveon, and ‘Stay’ with The Kid LAROI – competing for the Song of the Year. Bieber is also nominated for Male Artist of the Year where he will go head-to-head with his fellow singers Drake, Ed Sheeran, Lil Nas X, and The Weeknd.

Breakout artist Olivia Rodrigo tails closely behind Bieber with a total of eight nods, including Female Artist of the Year and Best New Pop Artist. Her single “drivers license” is up for Song of the Year, Best Lyrics, and Best Music Video categories.

Behind Bieber and Rodrigo, Doja Cat and Giveon both score seven nominations, while ‘Montero’ singer Lil Nas X receives six nominations. Other artists also receive multiple nominations, namely Silk Sonic’s Bruno Mars and Anderson .Paak, The Kid LAROI, SZA, Drake, Adele, Taylor Swift, Billie Eilish, BTS, Dua Lipa, Cardi B, Ariana Grande, Daniel Caesar, H.E.R., Foo Fighters, among many others.
Fans will also get the chance to vote for their favorites in several categories, such as Best Fan Army, Best Lyrics, Best Cover Song, Best Music Video, the Social Star Award, Favorite Tour Photographer, TikTok Bop of the Year, including the two new categories: TikTok Songwriter of the Year and Best Comeback Album. Fan voting begins on January 27 and will close on March 15, 11:59 p.m. PT. They can vote on Twitter using the appropriate category and tweeting the nominee hashtags, or through iHeartRadio.com/awards.

The 2022 iHeartRadio Music Awards is set to air on March 22, 8:00 p.m. EST, at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles.
