Your fave emo-pop bands are returning with ‘When We Were Young’ Fest

If this won’t give you a whiplash from your swift throwback to your 2000s emo phase, then IDK what will.

Everyone who listened to popular emo-pop bands must feel like they’re in a fever dream after the ‘When We Were Young’ festival announced the festival’s official lineup on January 19, 2022.

Paramore, who has been on hiatus since 2018, along with My Chemical Romance, will be headlining the festival that will happen on October 22, 2022, in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Other emo-pop artists coming to the music festival are Avril Lavigne, Bright Eyes, AFI, The Used, Bring Me The Horizon, Boys Like Girls, Taking Back Sunday, Dashboard Confessional, We the Kings, Alkaline Trio, Manchester Orchestra, Dance Gavin Dance, the All-American Rejects, Anberlin, 3OH!3, Atreyu, the Ready Set, Jimmy Eat World, La Dispute, the Wonder Years, Hawthorne Heights, Car Seat Headrest, Wolf Alice, and a lot more.

The festival marks the return of Paramore to the stage after going on hiatus back in 2018. Hayley Williams, the band’s frontwoman, has since released her solo debut album titled “Petals for Armor” in 2020. The festival will also see My Chemical Romance’s return to performing after their 2019 reunion concert in Los Angeles.

Fans will be able to start purchasing tickets on January 21, 2022, on a pre-sale period, which you can sign up for here.

Here are some peoples’ reactions to the official lineup for the When We Were Young festival:

‘When We Were Young’ Festival will be held at Las Vegas, but hopefully there will be a livestream of the music festival so fans outside the U.S. can also listen to their fave emo-pop bands perform live once more.
