On April 25, the official Weverse account of BTS made an announcement that the Korean idol RM will release his second solo album, “Right Place Wrong Person,” and fans are happy with this good news. Although the idol is still in active mandatory military service, this did not stop him from expressing his authenticity as a person and music artist, moving to include the people who feel like “outsiders who don’t fit in” by contributing to the songs in the album.
After the announcement, ARMYs (BTS fandom name) are now hyping the upcoming album that is slated for a May 24 release. Some have pointed out that the Korean idol now has enough songs for a world tour, and that they are hoping for a solo concert after his discharge from the military service.

Other fans even pointed out the album title finally made sense for them, from a few hints that RM has been teasing his fans with. He has changed his team’s Instagram account into “rpwprpwprpwp,” and posted photos that showcase the brewing preparation that him and his team are doing for the release of his second solo comeback.
Because of this, fans are also starting to theorize the possible content of “Right Place Wrong Person,” and its probable continuation of the rapper’s first second mixtape “Mono” which is a complete parallel by revolving around the same theme of exploring one’s isolation without feeling loneliness.
Although the majority of the reactions from this announcement are positive, the new album was not able to escape the on-going issue revolving around the rapper’s agency–some Korean netizens connected the release date with the girl group New Jeans as an act of covering-up the issue with HYBE.
