BTS surprises ARMYs with a playlist for their 8th Anniversary

Making your special person a playlist is a love language, confirmed.

Aside from dropping their newest song “Permission to Dance” at 1 P.M. KST today, BTS also made something very special for ARMYs on their 8th anniversary together. And from the first line of this article, you can probably guess that it’s a playlist.

The South Korean superstar boy group posted a teaser to this playlist on their official Twitter account, captioning it as “ARMYs birthday present” using the hashtags, “#HBD_TO_ARMY” and “ARMY_Playlist”. The tracks included in this very special playlist are each of the members’ solo songs, with “Bicycle” by RM, “Abyss” by Jin, “Snow Flower” by V, “Still With You” by Jungkook, “Hope World” by J-Hope, “People” by Agust D (Suga), and “Filter” by Jimin.

ARMYs have also prepared projects for BTS, such as the #WordsBYARMY project, which compiles the stories of different ARMYs on how BTS has influenced and touched their lives in their special way. Another project called the “Purple Ocean Defenders” has ARMYs supporting a non-profit grassroots organization named “Ocean Defenders” to help protect and preserve sea life, as well as clean the oceans.

Get you a fanbase that not only loves their idols, but who also works for a good cause.

July 9th has always been a special day for both BTS and ARMYs, who have been together ever since the beginning of BTS’ careers. It’s just about right that BTS and ARMYs celebrate it in the best way possible—through a new song and a playlist made especially for their fans.

Happy birthday, ARMYs ~
