Square One, formerly recognized as the “first professional kid rock band in the Philippines”, is a mainstream rock band who carved a name for themselves in the music industry. Having started young, the group has already guested and performed on different TV, radio, and on site gigs. Now, as teenagers, they continue to share their passion for music as they grow more and more experienced with their craft.
Later this evening, the group will launch their new song entitled “Punyal” on YouTube. The song features Mr. Jason Fernandez, Rivermaya’s former vocalist and former The Voice finalist. Before they drop their song, Square One will hold an hour-long live stream on their YouTube channel (squareonebandph) to be held on May 29, 2021 at exactly 8 PM.
During the launch, the group will talk about their preparations for the song, host an exciting raffle draw, and allow their supporters to know more about them as individuals and as a group. After the said live stream, the lyric video will be premiered.
Punyal is a song about friendship that was likened to a dagger that would be strong enough to go through great lengths. More so, the symbolization shows that they can protect and preserve the pact of a formidable and lasting bond among friends.
This is an independently released song written and originally composed by Mr. Nad Lupos and Mr. Dheven Rio. To make it even more interesting, the song was arranged by Square One members themselves, thus proving how well they have grown musically throughout the years.
So, set your alarms at 8 PM and make sure to rock out with Square One and their members — Kyle Jimenez (vocalist, 15), Jean Michael Herradura (drummer, 16), Crismar Lampos (lead guitarist, 22), and Paul Marc Tambis (bassist, 26) — as they proudly share their latest single “Punyal” which will soon be available on Spotify!
