While cars for wheelchair users have existed for a while now, they tend to be bulky, unwieldy and difficult for people to get on, but Kenguru offers an alternative. This electric vehicle brand solves all those problems making it the ideal vehicle for wheelchair users.
This little minion-looking vehicle is not only cute, but it is also functional and accessible. Its one door is opened via remote control, which also automatically lowers a ramp allowing for easy wheelchair access. The vehicle is also quite small, only measuring 7 feet (83.6 in) long, over 5 feet (63.8 in) wide, and 5 feet (60 in) tall. It weighs at an average of 900-1200lbs. It can go to speeds of up to 28mph and can last up to 60 miles on a single battery charge.
This is only the beginning as Kenguru continues to gain traction and popularity on social media. They will continue to ramp up production to make the vehicle more and more accessible to those who are in need of it. This revolutionary technology has the power to change the lives of wheelchair users around the globe, giving them a new sense of freedom we so often overlook.
Stacy Zoern, founder of Kenguru Inc, stated that “Kenguru gives people independence, which is something that people who aren’t disabled take for granted. That independence is absolutely necessary for the quality of life.”
This new technology is truly life changing. We anticipate its growth and hope to see the likes of it more often in the future!
