BTS’ Suga celebrated his 28th birthday on March 9, 2021 with a charity campaign. He donated 100 million won ($88K USD) to cancer patients in Keimyung University Dongsan Hospital in Daegu. Suga wanted to help children who are unable to receive proper treatment.
Army’s around the world were inspired by Suga’s generosity and participated in their own campaigns. It’s obvious that BTS fans are supportive not just with their music career, but also in their advocacies.
A fund raising in Italy for “Change Climate Change” raised 260€ for Suga’s birthday.

Their campaigns weren’t only monetary. In South Africa, BTS Army organized a food donation project.

BTS along with their loyal fans have a history of holding out a helping hand. In 2019, an Army donated to @OneInAnARMY for their Suga Day campaign. The page is a fundraising initiative run by ARMY volunteers. They organize monthly charity projects in honor of BTS.

In 2018, V-Army donated blood to Vietnam-Germany Friendship Hospital in Hanoi.

BTS’ Suga’s birthday charity campaign was one of his ways to give back to those who’re in need. Also, the Army said, “we want to share and spread love everywhere, just like BTS has been doing”.
