‘Receipt wars’ erupt between Heart Evangelista and Pia Wurtzbach camps over fashion show invite

A feud between the camps of actress Heart Evangelista and Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach seemed to be ignited when the latter’s fans started controversy over a fashion show invitation.

The lore of this controversy started when Evangelista posted on her Instagram story thanking but ultimately declining Victoria’s Secret’s invitation to its New York fashion show on October 15.

“Thank you @victoriassecret for inviting me! 🙂 I must stay home, but thank YOU for the love ❤️,” Heart wrote in her IG story.

However, only a few days after Heart’s post, a whirl of comments emerged from the beauty queen’s camp.

This comes after Wurtzbach posted on Instagram, confirming her attendance at the fashion show.

The issue grew larger when a comment from one social media user challenged others, without dropping names, to ask for receipts of invitations as proof.

Inunahan na nung isa na nag refuse sya pero ang totoo di sya ‘imbayted’ hanapan nyo siya ng resibo, [The other person acted first and said they refused, but the truth is, they weren’t even ‘invited.’ Go ahead and ask them for proof.]” the Instagram user said.

Justin Soriano, Evangelista’s former makeup artist and now on Wutzbach’s glam team, added fuel to the fire when he responded to the comment saying, “receipts or it didn’t happen 😉,” seemingly supporting the ongoing claims.

Soriano also defended the beauty queen after a commenter accused the latter of cheating her way to the fashion scene by “stealing contacts to build her presence in the industry.

“Pia never ever stole any contacts or whatever. Lalo na kami. [Especially us] We are only glam team and hindi nga namin kilala or close mga PR [We don’t know or not even close with PR] Also PIA IS PIA! She has walked the runway in New York when she was Miss Universe. She already attended a lot of fashion shows in New York way back 2015! So that cheating thing is actually invented so people can draw hate towards Pia,” the makeup artist clapped back.

Following the controversy, the camp of Evangelista released evidence proving that the actress was invited to the fashion show.

Heart’s assistant, Resty Rosell (@Resztyrose on Instagram), posted a series of screenshots on her Instagram story to slam the ‘uninvited’ claims.

The two fashion icons were also previously pitted against each other when social media users noticed that both unfollowed each other on Instagram.
