Police to request an arrest warrant for ‘Hellbound’ actor Yoo Ah-in

Actor Yoo Ah-in has been in the center of a drug scandal since February 2023, impacting his decorated career as an actor, creative director, and gallerist.

On May 19, 2023, Ilgan Sports had reported that the drug crime investigation unit from the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency are to request an arrest warrant for Yoo Ah-in. The motivations for this request are the possibility that the actor’s side may attempt to destroy evidence, and that Yoo had been in denial of the accusations against him, despite test results saying the opposite.

Yoo Ah-in is under the suspicion of the illegal use of five different drugs for non-medical purposes: propofol, marijuana, cocaine, ketamine, and zolpidem.

In previous rounds of police investigation, the “Hellbound” actor had denied the drug allegations surrounding him, but slightly admitted to his use of marijuana and asserted that his use of propofol, cocaine, ketamine, and zolpidem were for medical purposes.
