Indian fans went wild after the trio were spotted at the Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Centre event, flooding Twitter with pics of the encounter.
But instead of tagging the right Tom Holland, many users mistakenly tagged the historian, who’s Twitter account is verified, unlike the actor’s.
The overwhelmed author took to Twitter to plead with fans, sharing a now-viral pic of him being wrongly tagged and tweeting, “Please make it stop.”

Can you blame him? His timeline was basically bursting at the seams with Indian fans mistaking him for the Spider-Man star.
Meanwhile, the real Tom Holland was living his best life in Mumbai, attending the NMACC gala with his “Spider-Man: No Way Home” co-star, Zendaya.After the star-studded event, the actor took to Instagram to thank the Ambani family for the invite, sharing a picture of him shaking hands with Mukesh Ambani and writing, “A truly wonderful experience that I’ll never forget.”
Looks like the historian Tom Holland needs to embrace his newfound fame and get ready for more tags from enthusiastic Indian fans!
