Money Heist (originally known as La Casa de Papel) undoubtedly captured millions of fans around the world with its Dali-masked thieves, characters’ city codenames, and interesting plot twists. In its 4th season, the Spanish heist series took its viewers on an emotional rollercoaster ride as Inspector Alicia tracked down the Professor’s hideout while Raquel/Lisbon reunited with the gang.
Speaking of which, we can’t deny the fact that Lisbon (portrayed by Itziar Ituño) is one of the most beloved characters in Money Heist. She bravely left her past life as an inspector and further proved her loyalty by staying tight-lipped about the Professor’s plans.
And to express a fan’s admiration for this 46-year-old actress, a Filipino artist named Jose Manansala made a portrait of Lisbon. The said artwork immediately became viral after Ituño posted it on her Instagram page with a “thank you” caption saying: “Eskerrik asko (gracias, obrigada, thaks, mercí)”
According to Manansala, he received a lot of messages and notifications on Instagram when fans saw his creation via Ituño’s account. He also posted on Facebook a screenshot of his short conversation with the actress—which garnered more than 23,000 reactions, 6,000 shares, and 600 comments, as of this writing.
Aside from Lisbon, Manansala also drew pictures of other characters including Tokyo, Rio, Nairobi, Berlin, and many more.
While many of us are excited about Money Heist Season 5, Netflix hasn’t made any official announcement yet after the company reportedly paused its overall production due to the ongoing global pandemic. /TV
