France-based artist creates hand-drawn human faces as temporary tattoos

It may sound cliché but it’s true what they say–think before you ink. As adults, you should be smart enough to know what design you want to have tattooed on your body before actually getting it done. Because as you may already know, impulsively getting inked could lead to major (not to mention, permanent) regrets, especially for first-timers.

Luckily, for those who want to “enjoy the art of tattoos” but have commitment issues and concerns about possible allergic reactions, there are temporary tattoos you can try on yourselves.

And the latest trend for temporary tattoos is these designs by France-based artist Lise Grossmann. These designs feature hand-drawn custom portrait stamps and tattoos that can be placed on any part of your body, such as your hands, arms, and lower back.

Moreover, these temporary portrait tattoos are available for purchase on Etsy.

As written on her page, Grossmann admitted that she is “obsessed” with people’s faces.

“I spend hours watching and drawing them. We all have two eyes, one nose, and one mouth, ears and hair but yet each face is unique. As likeness is all about millimeters, I try to summarize with precision each feature, it’s a real challenge”

If you’re interested to place an order, simply send to Grossmann pictures of the images you want to be made into “fake tattoos”. You can also make it a bit more personal by requesting to add details like dates, names, or quotes (free of charge) on the temporary tattoo.

But it doesn’t stop there, you can also add up to five faces if you want a sleeve tattoo for your arm, showing the faces of your friends, families, or pets.  According to the site, the price ranges from Php 2,000 to Php 12,000.

Grossmann offers free shipping around the world and every order may take up to two weeks before being delivered.

Most of Grossmann’s customers provided positive feedback about her work, here are some of their reviews:
