Urban Arts Festival Manila celebrated a weekend of dancing and the arts lifestyle

Urban Arts Festival Manila recently held their 2-day event at Makati City. Participated by different delegates from the local & international scene, both venues were packed with spectators and arts enthusiasts in dance, music and urban lifestyle. 

International City Winners and the Judges made their way to Makati on Day 1 for the first ever Waack City World Finals hosted in the Philippines. This was participated by different international countries from Malaysia, South Korea, Hong Kong, China, Vietnam, Singapore, Japan & Philippines. While on their way to the main battle against 8 City winners, 37 Waackers battled during the Preliminary rounds to meet the 8 International City Winners in the Semi- Final Rounds. Baby Zoo from Seoul City was the one who bested the other 44 and was declared as this year’s 2019 Waack City World Finals Champion bagging prizes and goodies from our sponsors. 

Day 2 was a thrilling experience as one venue housed different cultures for a day. Urban Arts Festival Cross Culture gathered various spectators for different Pop-up Streetwear Booths, Dance, Esports, Graffiti, Skate, BMX, Fixie, DJ & Scratch enthusiasts. Kickass shoes from Draven were awarded to each Skate, BMX and Fixie winners. While the main stage was hyped by the dance segment – Midatsu from Malaysia & Nocturnal Dance Company from Philippines emerged as winners for the 1v1 Open Style & Group Dance Competition. Event sponsors such as the Sneak Peek, Creative Athlete & Pony PH provided the winners with awesome prizes and stylish merch. Apart from this, Smart Communications awarded 5 winners for the DUELO – 1v1 Mobile Legends battle and a Live broadcast was run by Kumu Philippines – the first Pinoy Livestream Community.
