The 29th Career Consultation and Guidance Fair – A ‘must attend’ event for High School Seniors

With Senior High School now fully embedded into the school system, seniors more than ever, need good advice in deciding on the courses, colleges and careers. The 29th Career Consultation and Guidance Fair does exactly that.

Endorsed by DepEd, TESDA, and CHED, the 29th CCGF puts under one roof more than thirty of the country’s most popular higher education institutions and ten major overseas universities and colleges from Australia, Canada and the USA. Institutions such as CEU, LPU, UST/Angelicum, Mapua, UP, FEU, Southville, ADMU, MINT, Enderun, Adamson, San Beda, Letran, the women’s colleges such as Miriam and Assumption, and high profile colleges such as EAC and Malayan, will all be showcasing their academic offerings, student interest clubs, basketball teams and new facilities specially developed for Senior High School students.

Running from 8.00am – 4.00pm on September 17 & 18 at the World Trade Center, Manila, the event welcomes all high schools from in and around Metro Manila in organized school outings or field trips, and has career talks throughout both days coverings a wide range of opportunities for high school graduates. Roger Bartholomew, President of International Education Specialists, the event organizer, said that helping SHS graduates to find the right colleges and the courses to prepare them for their careers, was one of the most critical roles that higher education institutions need to undertake today, and that the 29th CCGF was the ideal venue for this.

Typically 10,000 – 12,000 high school students attend the event each year. Bartholomew said that schools who would like to attend can contact Inter-Ed on [email protected], or text 0918-904-1282 or call 819-1001 to receive copies of the government endorsements and to register their students to attend. Additional attractions will be the Profiles Asia booth where students can take free career aptitude assessments, and David’s Salon Academy where haircutting, make-up and nail art will be on display. Helen Bartholomew, Founder of Inter-Ed and long-time member of the Career Development Association of the Philippines (CDAP) said that each year the event is run, the need grows for career counseling to make the most out of the grade 12 transition and to secure a great future for all Senior High School students.
