In movies or in any television shows, secretaries (for some reason) always wear high heels and mini skirts. And as part of their “typical characterization,” they also need to have that full breasts, big, round butt, and curvy hips.
Usually, the role of a secretary is often played by celebrities who are obviously #blessedt with such a pleasing shape. But in reality, we all know that it is the opposite—especially if you are familiar with the term “secretary or office butt”.
Abby Bales, a physical therapist at Spear Physical Therapy in New York City, stated that secretary or “office ass is the colloquial term for a culmination of several things.” Meaning to say, sitting all day at work could lead to lesser physical butt-shaping activities.
“First, we’re parking our bottoms in chairs for hours upon hours every day. People have a difficult time actively engaging their glutes to both strengthen and shape them,” she elaborated.
Based on a recent study conducted by Olivia Judson, an evolutionary biologist contributor writer for The NewYork Times, all-day sitting could also result in other health issues like back pain, obesity, diabetes, heart disease, and even nearly death. Judson in her article explained that “Part of the problem with sitting a lot is that you don’t use as much energy as those who spend more time on their feet. This makes it easier to gain weight, and makes you more prone to the health problems that fatness often brings.”
But don’t worry because you can still do a quick and effective alternative workout to get your booty fit and healthy. In fact, you can still achieve that round bottom by checking out this article about 9 ways to start standing more at work.
