Let’s take a trip down memory lane with Macaulay Culkin’s Home Alone-inspired ads

As children, we could only remember a few of our childhood memories. Those good old days when we would just play and run around the park or even dress up as a doctor or a soldier.

Since Christmas is all about magic, fun, and nostalgia, one of the best things to do with your family is to gather in front of the television just to watch one of these classic holiday movies.

If you’re a ’90s kid, you are probably familiar with this famous line, “Merry Christmas Ya Filthy Animal And A Happy New Year!”

Released in the 1990s, “Home Alone” follows the story of an 8-year-old boy who was left alone in their home after his family mistakenly flew to Paris without him. The kid was Kevin McCallister who was portrayed by the American actor Macaulay Culkin.

Recently, Culkin has gone viral after recreating some scenes from the classic movie for a Google advertisement. And just like in the original movie, the holiday ad shows a grown-up Kevin taking care of himself, protecting their entire home against burglars, and at the same time, doing some of his “playful” activities.

The commercial also features these iconic scenes including the pizza delivery, jumping up and down on his bed, and watching TV while indulging in a large bowl of ice cream.

We may enjoy having our solitary moment or being independent sometimes, but nothing beats the happiness when you watch movies with your whole family and friends during this Yuletide season.

It is true that there’s no other place like home.
