Join us as we celebrate our passion for the outdoors, as the UP Mountaineers invites you to AkyatCon 3.0: Transformative Learning Beyond Mountaineering, this May 18-19, 2018, 8am – 5pm in the Institute of Biology, UP Diliman. Registration Fee (online) is Php400 (Payment until May 14 only) and the walk-in Fee is Php 500. AkyatCon is an annual national convention on mountaineering – with talks and discussions on increasingly pressing topics that the UP Mountaineers aims to enlighten the participants. Now on its third year, this year’s theme: Transformative Learning Beyond Mountaineering – will feature topics on practices that are disrupting the status quo and pushing mountaineering and outdoor adventure to evolve for the better. It aims to reassess the norms, call for action, and initiate changes in promoting responsible mountaineering and environment protection.
