Korean actress Seo Ye-ji shut down resurfaced rumours on having a romantic past with Kim Soo-hyun following reports on his “predatory relationship” with the late Kim Sae-ron.
Ye-ji expressed her frustration on the matter as this was not the first time they had been romantically linked, and additionally found herself caught in the middle of the actor’s ongoing issue.
A fan of the actress left a comment on her most recent Instagram post, stating, “Did you have an affair with Kim Soo-hyun? Please don’t disappoint us a second time. I just read the news on TikTok.”
Back in 2021, conversations between Ye-ji and her ex-boyfriend Kim Jung-hyun were leaked. This contained an apparent set of instructions by the actress for Jung-hyun to act harshly towards his co-star and Girls’ Generation’s Seohyun, causing a wave of disappointment among her fans. The year also marked the first time that Ye-ji and Soo-hyun had been subject to dating allegations, following their hit show “It’s Okay to Not Be Okay.”
Falling back to the story, Ye-ji admitted to impulsively replying to the comment at first, but quickly deleted her response and instead spoke once and for all on her official fan cafe to set the record straight. The actress did not hesitate as she wrote, “I wish this would stop now. I have no relationship with him. I don’t even know why I have to clarify this, but today I’m feeling very frustrated.”
In a translation by Koreaboo, Ye-ji’s entire post read:
Before this event, another article shared that Ye-ji had been exploited to conceal GOLD MEDALIST’s issues by posing as a school or staff bully back in 2021, heightening the tension with the aforementioned revelations that had been made.
Screenshots of a YouTube comment by user @KimSeol24356, who claimed to be a former employee of GOLD MEDALIST, were published in a tweet by the account: @LepheloHam. In the comment, the said user claimed that the management had utilized actress Seo Ye-ji to “cover up their wrongdoings.”

Four years ago, I worked at GOLD MEDALIST but was fired after leaking important information about actress Seo Ye Ji to Dispatch and OSN reporters. However, the reporters I contacted did not use any of the information I provided because Lee Sa Rang instructed them not to, claiming it would damage the management’s reputation.
What I want to say is that actor Kim Soo Hyun and his cousin Lee Sa Rang had a lot of issues, and actress Seo Ye Ji was used as a shield. Some of the negative claims about her actually came from within the management. GOLD MEDALIST deliberately provided false information about Seo Ye Ji to Dispatch in order to cover up their own wrongdoings. They even paid people to spread lies about her. — @KimSeol24356/YouTube”
While these comments from the user are yet to be verified, fans speculate that this added up to Ye-ji’s grounds for posting her truth, reflecting a contrast to the allegations.
