Theories arise over why popular YouTubers’ ‘Lunchly’ meal kits face discontinuation

After several YouTuber food reviews and unboxings, the Lunchables meal kit competitor ‘Lunchly,’ created in collaboration with content creators MrBeast, Logan Paul, and KSI, is being rumored to be discontinued.

Only a month after the announcement of the meal kit brand, there are now claims that ‘Lunchly’ was being pulled out from the shelves and even shown as “discontinued” on grocery shopping applications.

When Lunchly was announced in September 2024, it caused an upsteer after veteran YouTuber DanTDM shared his disapproval of the brand, which received strong reactions from the Lunchly creators more notably KSI.

Rosana Pansino, a YouTuber with strong opinions against MrBeast shared that she found mold on the cheese product of one of the Lunchly variations “The Pizza,” during her filming of a food review of the meal kit.

Some were skeptical of the review at first until many others shared that they also found mold on their cheese, one content creator even made a her goal to disprove of Pansino’s claim only to actually found mold on the last box, after buying 22 boxes of the meal kit from different stores. “I didn’t expect mold, but i found mold,” the streamer aSpicyCow said on her tweet.

There are some that theorized that the reason for the moldy cheese was the faulty glue application done for sealing the package of the meal kit, which causes the side of the cheese to get moldy.

Several social media users shared their reactions from learning about the mold as well as the alleged discontinuation of the product.

It is unclear if all products were being pulled out and discontinued but the Lunchly social media accounts have not addressed the cheese issue, and the meal kit being off the shelves.

While Logan Paul, one of the Lunchly brand creators, during a podcast shared his reaction by laughing and saying “I like my cheese moldy.”

The Food and Drug Administration is now allegedly reviewing Lunchly after several complaints were sent to them.
