Musical comedy duo TwoSet Violin ‘ends chapter’ after 11 years, removes some content online

Started out with uploading classical covers of pop music, TwoSet Violin was a musical comedy duo consisting of Australian violinist Youtubers Brett Yang and Eddy Chen.

On an Instagram post uploaded last Monday, the duo wrote: “This will be the last piece of content we post as TwoSet Violin. It’s been a wild ride with you all for the last 11 years. We’ve all grown up together and it’s kinda surreal that we’re ending our chapter here.”

A post shared by Brett and Eddy (@twosetviolin)

“Thank you for all the laughs, the genuine encounters in real life and all the special moments we’ve had with you online and offline. Much love, Brett and Eddy”

Replies on the post showed their surprise as well support for the pair.

This news comes as a shock and confusion among the TwoSet Violin community, with some feeling it as some sort of prank. The duo has pulled the majority of its video content from YouTube, leaving only 29 videos on the platform.

The group’s Instagram account has been left with two posts, with the majority of posts from Yang and Chen’s personal accounts also removed. Additionally, TwoSet Apparel clothing brand has also posted a message stating ‘It’s time to say goodbye,’ inviting fans a final chance to buy their favorite pieces.

Others are believing that this announcement is leading to a rebrand of the duo, as they have been promoting and implied current projects on the works for them on their last video.

TwoSet Violin became famous through its YouTube videos that aimed to bring classical music to new audiences. The duo made content sometimes poking fun at themselves and classical music, while also discussing issues such as mental health awareness in the classical music industry.
