BTS-inspired K-drama ‘Begins Youth’ Trailer sparks excitement among fans

The trailer of the South Korean drama “Begins Youth” which was released last November 2023 resurfaced this early February and has created a buzz among BTS fans worldwide.

Inspired by the BTS Universe, the show’s trailer provided a sneak peek into the lives of seven boys and their struggles, closely resembling the K-pop sensation.

The story followed seven boys— Seo Ji Hoon as Hwan, Ro Jong Hyun as Cein, Ahn Jo Ho as Hosu, Seo Young Joo as Dogeon, Kim Yoon Woo as Haru, Jung Woo Jin as Jooan, Jeon Jin Seo as Jeha—each linked to themes like “sacrifice,” “rumor,” “interest,” “poverty,” “memory,” “violence,” and “remarriage,” respectively.

Fans expressed excitement about the 2024 premiere date and the striking similarities between the show’s characters and BTS members.

During a press conference, HYBE founder Bang Si Hyuk spilled, “We are working with a famous Korean drama production company to produce a drama where the theme is based on BTS’ outlook on the world.” Also, he added that it was initially set for the latter half of 2020 but later pushed to premiere in November 2023. The series is now slated to premiere on Xclusive during the first half of 2024.

The BTS Universe, which stemmed from “The Most Beautiful Moment in Life Series” and “Hwa Yang Yeon Hwa (HYYH) Series,” had expanded into various media, including games, webtoons, and the latest edition, “Begins Youth.”
