Lisa Kudrow not adopting Matthew Perry’s dog, says he doesn’t have one to begin with

Actor Matthew Perry who is known to play Chandler Bing on the hit TV show ‘Friends’ suddenly passed away on October 28 leaving many people in shock and mourning his untimely death.

Although initial reports have suggested that his co-star Lisa Kudrow would adopt the actor’s dog, it has been revealed that he did not own a dog at the time of his death.

Perry had been previously a fur dad to a doodle mix named ‘Alfred’ with his former partner, Molly Hurwitz. The pair began dating back in 2018 and got engaged in November 2020 before calling it quits in June 2021. Thus, Alfred has been under Hurwitz’s care since then.

In a post she made last September, she opened up about her close connection to their dog.

“Alfred is three. He is very annoying a lot of the time, but he is truly the most loving potato. He entered my life during some dark depression, and he helped get me far away from that. He is also cute as all f–k. Cheers to you, Alfredo 💕#adoptdontshop,” she wrote.

Lisa Kudrow and her fellow castmates Jennifer Aniston, Courtney Cox, Matt LeBlanc, and David Schwimmer also released a statement about the actor’s passing.

“We are all so utterly devastated by the loss of Matthew. We were more than just castmates. We are a family,” their statement read. “There is so much to say, but right now we’re going to take a moment to grieve and process this unfathomable loss.”

“In time we will say no more, as and when we are able,” their statement continues. “For now, our thoughts and our love are with Matty’s family, his friends, and everyone who loved him around the world.”

The actor’s death was confirmed through an exclusive statement from his family. As of this writing, the results of the toxicology report are currently pending to know the exact cause of his death.
