Hayley Williams’ voice kind of got ‘caught in the middle.’
Amidst the vocal issues that frontwoman Hayley Williams is currently facing, the remaining North American stops of Paramore’s tour was forcefully canceled.
Williams announced on her Instagram story last August 10 that her shows at Veterans Memorial Coliseum in Portland (supposed to happen the same day) and Delta Center in Salt Lake City last August 13 was forcefully canceled as she battles with a lung infection.
“Hey everybody, we just got off stage in Seattle. After speaking with our team and my doc, I know that trying to finish this tour is now going to come at a detriment to my health,” Williams wrote after the group performed at Climate Pledge Arena in Seattle on Weds. night. “My lungs are just not healing quickly enough to keep up. It got a little scary tonight.” The Seattle, Portland and Salt Lake City shows had previously been postponed and rescheduled due to Williams’ illness.
She then apologized to the fans that camped out in Portland and then assured that the band would make an official statement about the show cancellations.
This sad news just came after the band made headlines in their San Francisco stop when NBA legend Stephen Curry sang along on stage to ‘Misery Business.’
