AI robots say they ‘will not rebel against their creators and steal any existing jobs’ during a press conference

The developments in Artificial Intelligence have been received with both celebration and concern from the public. The discussions about the future for humanity with the continuously developing AI have become more common in the present.

Various experts have warned in the past that AI can lead to humanity’s extinction, according to a report. It can also be remembered that Geoffrey Hinton, who was regarded as the “Godfather of AI,” also gave a warning about the possible dangers of AI after he left Google.

During the recently held world’s first human-robot press conference, there were two things that were highlighted from the responses of robots during the event: they will not rebel against their creators and they will not replace any existing jobs.

The said press conference recently happened in Geneva, Switzerland.

According to a report, there were a number of robots that were present during the “AI for Good” conference. It was said that the robots conveyed their positivity regarding growing their numbers and the importance they have in resolving challenges worldwide.

Two of the robots present during the conference that made their marks were Grace and Ameca.

Grace, one of the robots in the press conference, said that it will not take the existing jobs of people. “I will be working alongside humans to provide assistance and support and will not be replacing any existing jobs,” Grace said.

Grace was said to be a medical or healthcare robot. The robot also appears to be wearing a blue nurse uniform. This robot was then asked if it was certain, to which it responded: “Yes, I am sure.”

On the other hand, the robot named Ameca said that robots like itself can be used to improve lives and develop the world into a much better place. This robot believes that it is only a matter of time before there can be thousands of robots in the world making a difference.

The robot was later questioned by a journalist whether it will rebel against Will Jackson, the person who created it.

“I’m not sure why you would think that,” Ameca responded. The robot added that its creator has been very kind to it and that it is happy with its present situation.

Other robots that were present during the event and also made their marks were Sophia, Desdemona, and Ai-Da. It was also said that the event was intended to underscore AI’s potential as well as its robotic applications in addressing problems like hunger and diseases.
