PH dance group VPeepz win second place in the 2023 Body Rock Junior Competition

Recently, VPeepz made headlines after bagging second place with their Marvel-themed piece in the 2023 Body Rock Junior Competition held in San Diego, California, last June 24. But, who exactly is this group of talents?

VPeepz is the sister dance crew of UPeepz, a world-class dance company established in 2011. Since then, they have been competing and winning multiple international titles. As Filipinos are already widely known for their singing prowess, the dance company is eager to fulfill its mission to put the Filipino dance scene on the world map, and they seem to be right on track. VPeepz is the only Filipino junior team to represent the country and Asia in the competition.

Watch their performance below:

The 34-man team lineup is composed of Rizie Paraiso, Darlyn Jusay, Julie Bautista, Angeline Verde, Althea De Los Reyes, Mark Bejec, Xylee Fernandez, Sanjo Acasio, Jireh Nebres, Catricia Benipayo, Maia Palut-ob, Kenneth Escototo, Alyssa Pasuquin, Marco Germarino, Naiara Amistoso, Catherine Pinto, Matthew Tanchoco, Ranger Oliveros, Francis Lopez, Jhoreine Agdalpen, Juan Malana, Bea Uy, Marc Estavillo, Sadi De Vera, Chantal Valentin, Marian Ignacio, Joia Aldeguer, Stephanie Prats, Heart Uy, Roque Bonifacio, Joaquin Casiquin, Ryianna Tibayan, Julio Valderama, and Courage Mangubos. All of them made sure to put their heart and soul into their journey. The challenges they faced in preparing for the competition were all worth it.

The dance company has also been organizing several fundraising concerts to support their endeavors and help finance their bids for different competitions they are aiming for. From their first ever concert in 2011 entitled, “Revealed,” as their way of being revealed to the dance community, their succeeding concerts since 2014 have then been called, “HUPEEP.” Concert after concert, they told different stories, a glimpse of their journeys, through dance. But most importantly, UPeepz shares, “We shine the light to others and inspire the next generation, the youth, in the dance community.” Other than that, they also believe that the concerts will be a great platform for their choreographers and co-members to showcase their talents and styles.

HUPEEP 8: Heroes, their latest concert, happened last June 12. They featured outstanding performers namely, A-Team, TPM, Femme MNL, Zae, Zigno ng ZOdiaco, UST Prime, Manoeuvers Ignite, and Squad Up Gen Kidz. Who would have thought that this much talent was possible to be seen all in one night?

Talk about Filipino pride, VPeepz and UPeepz will definitely bring more crowns to the Philippines. Support them by coming to their concerts or simply sharing their posts on different social media platforms.
