Did we just witness Belle Mariano call her ‘reel’ partner Donny Pangilinan ‘babe’? Here’s what fans have to say

Fans of the love team DonBelle could not hide their excitement after hearing Belle Mariano seemingly called her on-screen partner Donny Pangilinan “babe” in a vlog.

In the new vlog of TV writer Darla Sauler, she had a bag raid with the popular Filipino singer-actress. Mariano shared that her bag contains her everyday essentials, while she has another bag for her other things like extra shirts.

Mariano later revealed and explained the different stuff inside her bag, including her two hair ties. Sauler later asked the singer-actress how come that Pangilinan was aware that she does not throw away her hair tie.

Mariano explained that she used to have her lucky hair tie that she did not usually throw away but later gave it to Pangilinan. Towards the latter part of the video, Mariano encouraged Pangilinan to try the trending lato-lato toy, to which she was heard saying something like, “Babe, try mo ‘yung lato-lato.”

In the past years, DonBelle has been one of the most popular and admired love teams in Philippine showbiz. The love team is known for their great chemistry and stage presence whenever they perform. Pangilinan and Mariano became known for a number of projects like the movies “An Inconvenient Love” in 2022 and “Love is Color Blind,” in 2021 and the series “He’s Into Her” in the same year.

The phrase “BABE TRY MO YUNG LATO LATO” became a trending topic on Twitter. Many fans quickly shared and reacted to the clip showing Mariano was said to have called Pangilinan “babe.” Below are some tweets fans and online users made after watching the video clip from the vlog:

Belle Mariano has since clarified this topic, saying she actually said “wait” and not “babe.”

Mariano recently released her album “Somber” that consists of six tracks namely “Running Out of Time,” “Roadtrip,” “Bugambilya,” “Session Road,” “Pansamantala,” and “Somber & Solemn.”

The singer-actress also had a collaboration recently with popular OPM band December Avenue for the song “Wala Nang Iba.” Aside from these, she is also scheduled to have her much-awaited concert “Beloved” on July 22. DonBelle is also part of the list of stars, celebrities, and love teams in Star Magic 30 Catalogue.
