BLACKPINK’s Jisoo confirmed to make her solo debut this year

BLINKs can now have that well-deserved sigh of relief—all members of BLACKPINK are now solo artists.

On January 2, 2023, YG Entertainment announced that Jisoo will be making her solo debut this year. She is the last BLACKPINK member to release solo music, and it had been a long time coming for BLINKs.

YG Entertainment shared, “BLACKPINK’s Jisoo is currently working hard on recording her solo album. While carrying out a busy world tour schedule since last year, she finished the album jacket photo shoot and worked on music production whenever she got the time in order to keep the promise with fans. She will greet [fans] soon with good news.”

Aside from the already good news from Madame Jisoo herself, the BLACKPINK member opened her very own YouTube channel on her 28th birthday, January 3, 2023. Her YouTube channel literally translates to, “Happiness Jisoo 103 percent”, and her description reads, “We hope that everyone’s happiness index goes up even higher.” It had also been announced that the proceeds from her channel will be donated to different charities, which will obviously lead to everyone’s happiness to go higher.

BLINKs are all over the moon after these news about the BLACKPINK member, especially after clamoring to YG Entertainment to let Jisoo release her very own music. Fans also have been sending messages of love to Jisoo on her birthday.

Well deserved, Miss Jisoo! Finally indeed. Make way, Jisoo’s about to turn 2023 into her b**ch.
