Jensen Gomez releases ‘Phases: In Full’, which could be his last album

After 14 years in the Philippine music industry, Jensen Gomez announced that ‘Phases: In Full’ could be the last album he will produce.

After teasing his fans with volumes one, two, and three (1, 2, 3) and In Fragments, the singer-songwriter launched his album in a very intimate but fun event.

Last November 25, 123 Block in Mandaluyong lit up and was filled with music and artistry.

Opening up the show was Up For Byes and Drupee, who performed some of their original music.

Performing as the only solo artist that night, Dem, serenaded the crowd with some of her soothing songs.

But as the night progressed, The Early Ears filled Mandaluyong with their music.

But probably one of the highlights of the night was Ang Bandang Shirley’s performance of their hit song, “Umaapaw.”

And of course, the man of the night: Gomez entered the stage and performed ‘I’m Scared,’ as well as a song which he dedicates to himself, ‘Grip.’

Gomez entertained the crowd with light banters with his bandmates and friends in the crowd. He also had fun with his music as he remixed his songs with other popular songs, which surprised the crowd.

A low point in the event was when Gomez said that this album might be his last album. The audience reacted with nos and whys, but it seems like Gomez is ready to move on to another chapter of his life.

But the night continued celebrate Jensen Gomez’s album. He also gave away some merch to some of his fans inside the venue. He ended the night with his song ‘From my window.’

To cap the night off, Brass pas pas pas took over the stage with their lively jazz music.

BPP performed some of their hit songs such as ‘Tayo Na’t Mag-Funk, Disko Na’ and one song which they performed with Gomez, ‘HKM’ (Hindi Kita Malimutan).

Gomez’s album promises to be a ‘radio-like’ experience with interviews, ads and apparently, a children’s song. “Phases: In Full” also features, not only new songs, but his previous songs that were re-imagined.

In his final album, Gomez poured his heart out writing songs about his childhood and struggles as a musician.
