The internet mourns the loss of ‘Minecraft’ YouTuber Technoblade

Technoblade, one of the most popular Minecraft YouTube content creators, passed away at the young age of 23 due to cancer. In the last video uploaded on his channel titled “so long nerds,” Technoblade’s father showed up to read his last message to all of his fans and viewers. This message was written 8 hours before his death.

Technoblade began his final message by saying, “Hello everyone, Technoblade here. If you’re watching this, I am dead.” He continued on by saying that his real name is Alex, and that he was able to prank his viewers for years, pretending that his real name was Dave. He thanked his fans for their continuous support, especially since he publicized his cancer diagnosis in August of last year.

In his message, he said this line that will be ingrained in everyone’s minds: “If I had another hundred lives, I think I would choose to be Technoblade again every single time as those were the happiest years of my life.”

Technoblade was extremely popular in the Minecraft community and was regarded as one of the best players of that game, rivaling fellow YouTuber Dream. He had won major Minecraft tournaments before and was also a major character in the Dream SMP. His popularity was evidenced by the 10 million subscribers he has on YouTube, which only increased by more than 2 million after his passing.

Not much is known about the man behind Technoblade, as he only revealed his real name and face in this final farewell video that was uploaded. One thing is for sure – he put smiles on the faces of millions of people. Even in the darkest moments, his humor shined through. This is further showcased by the T-shirts that were just released under the Technoblade brand, check them out below:
