K-Pop’s Performance Kings are returning with their fourth full album soon.
On March 17, 2022, South Korean news outlet STARNEWS first reported that the 13-member group will be releasing a full album in May. Hours later, PLEDIS Entertainment confirmed this news by issuing a statement.
PLEDIS Entertainment said, “SEVENTEEN are preparing to return with a full-length studio album in May.” Aside from this, the agency did not mention any other details related to the group’s future activities.
SEVENTEEN’s future studio album release marks their return to music since their ninth EP “Attacca,” with the lead single “Rock With You” last October 22, 2021. This is also their fourth full-length album, following the release of “An Ode” in 2019.
Since the release of “Attacca,” some of the group’s members have been embarking on their own solo activities: Woozi with the release of his debut mixtape “Ruby” in January, Vernon and his collaboration with English singer Charli XCX and Rina Sawayama for the remix of “Beg for You,” and most recently, The8 with his digital single “Hai Cheng.”
CARATs couldn’t contain their excitement for the group’s next full-length album, cementing their unofficial title as the “most spoiled fandom” because of SEVENTEEN’s other upcoming activities: their 6th Official Fan Meeting titled, “SEVENTEEN in CARAT LAND” on March 27 and the release of their movie, SEVENTEEN POWER OF LOVE: THE MOVIE on April 20 and 23, 2022.
CARATs also pointed out that the release of SEVENTEEN’s fourth studio album coincides with their debut anniversary. ONCEs, the fans of TWICE, also made jokes about their faves’ comeback since both groups’ music releases often coincided with each other.
