Hello Kitty and her whole squad brought kids and fans of all ages to a wonderful adventure filled with fun, friendship, teamwork, and fashion!
Despite the inclement weather, excited fans rushed to the Meralco Theater last December 20 to get the opportunity to see Hello Kitty during the opening night of Hello Kitty Live — Fashion and Friends.
Set in modern-day London, Hello Kitty Live tells the story of Hello Kitty and her friends as they complete their quest of bringing Hello Kitty’s designs to life for a fashion show. Together, they’ve put up a great show with a story full of interactive scenes and dance numbers featuring the latest pop hits.
A successful opening, indeed! From left to right: Pom Pom Purin, Dear Daniel, My Melody, Sophie, Hello Kitty, Mimmy, and Bad Badtz Maru.The show features a giant LED wall and LED curtains that continuously interacts with the characters on stage through special effects and animations. Sophie serves as the narrator of the story and the connection between the audience and the characters on-stage.The audience had a lot of fun passing these colorful beach balls around.They also helped Sophie and the cast lay out Hello Kitty’s materials for her designs.Dear Daniel and Hello Kitty gave the audience a kilig moment as they danced to Bruno Mars’ “Just The Way You Are.”The whole squad also danced to some of the hits of pop artists like Charli XCX, Bruno Mars, Kylie Minogue, Echosmith, Clean Bandit, Flo Rida, and many more.Kids definitely had a great time seeing their favorite cartoon characters in person.Even parents enjoyed the show as they cheerfully joined some of the games and interacted with the cast.Hello Kitty sported fashionable costumes specially designed by Tokidoki for the show.Kitty’s parents made a special appearance at the show!Aside from the engaging story of friendship and Hello Kitty’s passion for fashion, the show will also take fans to an exciting adventure through the use of cutting-edge technology and animation.Fans who availed the Red Bow Access at the venue had meet-and-greet photo opportunities with the cast after the show.
