It looks like one unruly FX passenger lost his cool over a young lady taking his ‘throne’ at a FX and even punched the lady. Ta-daa! He is the newest target of social media wrath.
A video began doing the rounds on social media, featuring a certain “John Michael ‘Mike’ Musni Arellano” quarrelling with a lady, who happens to be a student, in a ride heading to Almar Subdivision in Caloocan City.
INQUIRER.net interviewed one of the passengers, a 31-year-old salon worker from Caloocan, who wishes to conceal her identity. She recounted the chilling incident that occurred on Tuesday at 1pm. Arellano was with his wife when they rode the FX. Upon opening the door, she was already astonished by the man’s instant ‘whining’ to the lady when she took the seat he wanted.
The lady wanted to sit near the vehicle’s sliding door because she “will get down at North Olympus Subdivision”, which is considered nearby. However, the ill-tempered man blasted out at the student in the video, “Eh, Olympus lang din kami, pinahihirapan mo pa kami!” (We are also getting down at Olympus. You are just giving us a hard time.)
As visible in one of the videos, Arellano lashed out at the lady wih a string of curse words and quarelled with her. Arellano’s wife even tried to calm her enraged husband by saying “Tama na!” (That’s enough). Before disembarking the vehicle, Arellano punched the lady on her shoulder, which made her cry helplessly.
Gonzales also observed that their fellow passengers inside the public vehicle simply did nothing. “Lahat nganga. Wala pong umawat [na ibang pasahero] kasi lahat po [sila ay] takot,” she testified. Even the driver didn’t seem to care about the tension. (Everyone’s mouth was open. No other passenger attempted to retrain Arellano because everyone was frightened.)
Because of this disrespectful incident, a Facebook page consisting of 4,400 likes was created to ridicule and publicly shame Arellano. Now, he is the ‘Number One Public Enemy’ of many netizens who want to clench their fists and invite him for a match at Ace Hardware.
As expected, hundreds – maybe thousands of Facebook users bombed their harshest comments on Arellano’s Facebook account. Yes, even the never-ending Duterte comments, too.
The passenger has a friendly reminder for the culprit who is already wanted on social media, “Kuya, if ever na may problem ka, wag kang mangdamay at wag siga-siga,” (If you have a problem, do not involve other people in your frustration and don’t act like a show-off).
