Girl in a jacket

February is just around the corner and we all know what that means – it’s Oscar season once again! Spectators will be zoning in on who’s wearing who on the red carpet while others tune in to see if Leo is finally going to get his precious golden statuette.

Once in a while, a celebrity would have too much to drink and let out all the crazy. We here at INQPop LIVE for that rare moment that’s why we’re looking back on some of the most insane acceptance speeches ever uttered in the history of the Academy Awards.

1. I crap bigger than him: Jack Palance, 1992 Best Supporting Actor

Can you imagine your lolo doing pushups? Pause! No need to conjure that mental image because we got it here for you. Then 73 year old Jack Palance proceeds to kick ageism in the arse as he demonstrated one-armed pushups in the middle of his acceptance speech.

2. I’m so in love with my brother right now: Angelina Jolie, 2000 Best Supporting Actress

An unfortunate choice in words + unabashed public display of affection to your brother a.k.a. making out with him at the red carpet = GUURL U CRAAAAYYY

3. I bet they didn’t tell you that was in the gift bag: Adrien Brody, 2003 Best Actor

The youngest actor ever to win the accolade of Best Actor at 29, Adrien was met with a standing ovation with his outstanding performance in Roman Polanski’s The Pianist. But what made his speech memorable was the ninja move that was stealing a kiss from The Halle Berry and even audaciously quipping the now-famous line.

4. I lift this trophy but I want you. I want to be rocked by the waves of your beauty: Robert Benigni, 1999 Best Actor

Robert Benigni was so ecstatic of his win that he became like a kid again as he hopscotched on people’s chairs! His uplifting speech was also prefaced by low-key flirting with presenter Sophia Loren, giving birth to the most forward pick-up line ever.

5. Tom Cruise! I love you, brother! I love you, man!: Cuba Gooding Jr., 1997 Best Supporting Actor

This is how you make an Oscars acceptance speech. Screw the orchestra’s “play-off”! Just keep saying you love everyone and keep doing you.

Watch if any of this year’s winners would do something crazy at the 88th Academy Awards, which will air on February 28, 2016.
