2017 is officially the year of the crazy jeans trend with these “detachable cut-out jeans”

We’ve witnessed a lot of changes to our normal denim jeans over the past few decades, and honestly, some are really drastic. Today, from totally ripped jeans to clear plastic jeans, we now have ourselves detachable cut-out jeans.

In case you didn’t know, several clothing brands recently went way too far with “fashion” when they released new lines of jeans that will instantly make you say “WTF!”

First, there’s Topshop’s clear plastic jeans which we have absolutely no idea how to wear. With completely see-through jeans, is it still supposed to hide anything? This pair of jeans (or whatever it is supposed to be) was even priced at $100 (PhP 4,978.50)!

Yup, just when you thought we need to lessen the amount of plastic on earth, people decided to make crazy plastic jeans and sell it at an even crazier price.

But that was not the end of it. If you hate having mud on your jeans when it’s raining, then you might find this pair of fake mud jeans absolutely cringe-worthy. Online shopping site Nordstrom sells this for those who are “…not afraid to get down and dirty” at $425 or over PhP 21,000!

For those who would even want this, why have fake mud jeans when you can wear regular denim jeans, roll over a pile of mud, and get yourself your own mud jeans? Real-life mud is free, bruh!

The latest addition to this crazy jeans trend is this: “detachable cut-out jeans.” Because denim shorts and jeans are not enough. So why not have them 2-in-1?

Designed by Y/Project, these detachable cut-out jeans can be worn “…as full-length trousers, with your under-butt and groin exposed,” according to Mashable. Perfect for summer, indeed! And just like the fake mud jeans, you can get them at a whopping $425!

Now can somebody explain why this is happening? All we wanted was a pair of freaking normal jeans!
