With the pandemic still around, for many of us video games are the only way we experience the outside world nowadays. We get to see fantasy worlds where Gods roam, and warzones where only the most badass of soldiers return from – but this one California based Filipino was feeling a bit more homesick and was after that classic Filipino vibe.

Anna Natividad brings “kubocore” to Animal Crossing in the cutest way possible. Her Island which she named Hilaga features many different sights and environments recreating everything from tourist spots to more cozy sites you’d see anywhere in the Philippines.

We see her make full use of the items found in animal crossing to make it as close to a real palengke as possible.

Her Island also features an in-game representation of the Banaue Rice Terraces!

Of course it wouldn’t be a complete representation of the Philippines if it didn’t have its own Jollibee store!

Her island is continuously expanding, with visitors coming and going every day. She has inspired other Animal Crossing players to try out #kubocore as well. With that many interested people, who knows what sights we’ll get to see in the game next?
