The St. Luke’s College of Medicine – William H. Quasha Memorial (SLMCCM-WHQM), in partnership with the St. Luke’s Medicine Student Council, will hold its online Open House entitled Oasis with the theme “Exploring a Haven of Optimal Learning, Innovation, and Fun” on March 6, 2021 from 8:30AM to 1:00PM via Zoom.
SLMCCM-WHQM once again obtained a 100% passing rate in the most recent board exams. Thus, this event aims to introduce the Lukan brand of medical education to aspiring medical students by showcasing what the school has to offer in terms of its medical program, extracurricular activities, and facilities. Also, esteemed speakers representing different sectors and perspectives will be sharing their Lukan stories and medical journey towards becoming physicians who are equipped to help address national and global health agenda.
The program will open with plenary sessions on the school’s medical program and scholarship offers. There will also be performances from different student organizations including St. Luke’s Dance Company, SLMCCM Musicians’ Circle, and SLMCCM Chorale. Finally, a virtual tour around the campus showing the school’s classrooms, library, laboratories, and other facilities will be presented.
Oasis Open House 2021 is free and open for all undergraduate students, graduates of pre-medicine courses, and anyone aspiring to become a medical student.
