ASICS Sportstyle features KPop Idol group ‘KARD’ in latest GEL-MIQRUM launch

Designed to highlight the performance components in ASICS’ lifestyle offerings, the brand new GEL-MIQRUM brings together form and function in one pair of eye-catching sneakers.

The GEL-MIQRUMTM sports bold color-blocking details combining retro and neutral palettes to showcase a dimensional appearance. Its silhouette features a throwback design, where the mesh and no-sew paneling upper forms a layered look reminiscent of ASICS’ offerings from the 90s.

Combining stylish exterior with tried-and-true ASICS performance technology, the shoe’s GELTM technology cushioning system extends from the medial to the lateral side of the heel to ensure lasting comfort. It takes inspiration from the visible tech that is encapsulated in the INFINTYTM franchise which emulates the fluidity of water.

As one of the four models part of the “Engineered For Everyday” campaign, the GEL-MIQRUM merges high-end performance wear with a fashion-focused sensibility. The new silhouette features its own unique characteristics whilst keeping the intrinsic DNA of ASICS’ renowned GELTM cushioning system in the heel for maximum comfort.

The “Engineered For Everyday” campaign is based around the scientific, advanced procedure of design, and sees the tests go outside the lab and into the city. To highlight the methodical process in which the GEL-MIQRUM was created, the visuals of the campaign showcase the shoes with calculations, graphs and lab notes.

Kpop group KARD fronts yet another ASICS Sportstyle campaign for GEL-MIQRUMTM. The quartet was announced as ASICS’ regional ambassadors in August 2019 for the GEL- BNDTM launch.

The campaign video showcases the members wearing the GEL-MIQRUMTM shoes in a variety of settings, driving home the message that these sneakers are “Engineered For Everyday”. Their single “Red Moon,” released earlier this year, was used as the background music of the campaign video.

The GEL-MIQRUMTM retails at PHP 4990, and is available in three different colorways for each gender: Glacier Grey/ Shocking Orange, Piedmont Grey/Black and Black/White for men, and Vibrant Yellow/Sunrise Red, White/Pure Silver and Black/Hot Pink for women.
