Every year, thousands of new faces enter the University of the Philippines as they usher into another chapter of their lives. The university celebrates the arrival of these individuals who, in the next few years, will continue the legacy of living up to the name of the Iskolar ng Bayan in serving the Filipino people by upholding the Honor and Excellence that UP is known for.
The UP Diliman University Student Council (USC) and University Freshie Council (UFC), together with the UP Advertising Core (UP AdCore) and Office of the Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs (OVCSA) warmly welcome our newest batch of Iskos and Iskas through the University Freshie Month 2020. While your UP life may not begin inside the campus, we will bring you the freshie welcoming experience wherever you may be. #KasamaKahitSaan
We kick off UFM 2020 with the Online Freshie Games from September 7 to 10. Meet and bond with your fellow freshies every night over exciting games that will surely tell you more about the university. On September 10, the OVCSA shall officially welcome our freshies during the annual Freshie Welcome Assembly. Listen to distinguished UP students and youth leaders through the Bootcamp and Leadership and Training Seminars on September 11 and 18. Learn from their first-hand experiences on how to navigate through academics and fostering student leadership.
On September 21 to 25, get to know over a hundred student organizations, formations, and members of different sectors in the university through the Org and Community Fair. Finally, to cap off UFM 2020, we invite you to Culminight on September 30. Enjoy a celebration of music and entertainment, showcasing the talents of homegrown and OPM bands and performers.
