This cat sitting where baby Jesus should be just proves that cats think they’re gods

Every year we spread the spirit of Christmas with festive decorations such as colorful lanterns and bright lights. There’s also always the symbolic nativity scene where it shows Christ born in a manger.

But it turns out, a cat is trying to replace baby Jesus as the star of Christmas this year.

According to The Dodo, photographer Brooke Goldman was out for a sleepy morning walk in New York city when she laid eyes on the purr-fectly hilarious nativity scene setup. She said she was laughing her ass off over the fluffy grumpy cat sitting on the red basket—looking like he’s done with 2017 just like the rest of us.

And from the looks of it, he doesn’t seem to care about taking over the manger’s intended occupant. There is only one rule for him that every cat know by heart: “If I fits, I sits”.

This furry creature trying to replace Jesus in a manger just shows cats’ superiority complex and always-don’t-give-a-f**k mindset on all things. He must be thinking he deserves to sit there anyway since cats are gods.

‘Tis the season to be jolly and this cat just gave us a reason to smile—despite his grumpy face. Have a Meowy Christmas, everyone!
