It’s almost as if Directioners are back to their happiest and active era as fans!

One Direction new solo music

Members of English–Irish pop boy band One Direction sent fans into a frenzy as they individually announced their plans of new solo music in 2026.

Harry Styles, Louis Tomlinson, and former member Zayn Malik delighted their fans when they subsequently revealed that they will release their new solo music after quite some time.

Harry Styles

In an Instagram post on January 15, Styles announced his fourth studio album, ‘Kiss All the Time. Disco, Occasionally.’

It is set to be released on March 6, 2026.

The album is composed of 12 tracks: ‘Aperture,’ ‘American Girls,’ ‘Ready, Steady, Go!,’ ‘Are You Listening Yet?,’ ‘Taste Back,’ ‘The Waiting Game,’ ‘Season 2 Weight Loss,’ ‘Coming Up Roses,’ ‘Pop,’ ‘Dance No More,’ ‘Paint by Numbers’ and ‘Carla’s Song.’

‘Aperture’ was released on January 22 as Styles’ lead single.

‘Kiss All the Time. Disco, Occasionally’ is marked as the singer’s first album since ‘Harry’s House’ in 2022.

Louis Tomlinson

On the same day as Styles’ announcement, former bandmate Tomlinson also revealed that his new single, ‘Imposter,’ will be released on January 20, ahead of his third album, ‘How Did I Get Here?’, which drops on January 23.

Compared to his two previous albums that tackle heavier themes with personal lyrics to match, the artist said that for this new album, he’s embraced a more colourful, optimistic outlook.

He also told NME that he created the album while spending time in Costa Rica, where he realized he had gained more confidence from touring and had become less afraid to experiment with his sound.

Additionally, he is also set to go on a world tour with his new album starting from March 23.

Zayn Malik

The excitement doesn’t stop from the two artists as former member Malik debuted a new single, ‘Die For Me,’ during his Las Vegas Residency.

During the show, he also confirmed that his long-awaited fifth studio album will arrive “pretty soon.”

Malik played five new singles but only revealed one title among his music.

“I’ve been in the studio a little bit. I got a new record coming for you guys pretty soon,” he said. “I’m really excited about that… I’ll be playing some songs tonight for the first time. For you guys.”

The events that unfolded over the span of a week left fans both excited and emotional, as it had been a while since the artists released their solo music.

One Direction is originally composed of five members: Niall Horan, Liam Payne, Harry Styles, Louis Tomlinson and Zayn Malik.

Malik left in 2015 and the group had been on an indefinite hiatus in 2016. Payne tragically passed away on October 16, 2024 at the age of 31 after falling from a third-floor balcony at a hotel in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
