Cole Walliser, the director of the viral Glambot, is now the talk of the internet after a 2019 email of him answering a client’s inquiry resurfaced online.
A screenshot of the email was posted by Facebook user Jarred Jermain. In the email, a client named Yinka Animashaun asked Walliser if he is accepting bookings for a private event. The bride inquired with the director regarding the availability of the Glambot and its corresponding rates.
“Thanks for reaching out! Just so you are aware, the GlamBOT is a camera system and personnel used by a network television station for one of the biggest red carpets of the year. It is not cheap, if you feel like something like this might be within your budget range, then I am happy to discuss further,” the director replied.
Additionally, a few exchanges between the two were also revealed, showing Walliser appearing passive-aggressive in his responses to the client. It was also disclosed that he asked for a 10% deposit to proceed.
“If you wanted to know how much it costs, you just needed to ask, you don’t need to pretend you are going to book it,” he replied when the bride said that she will reach out on another day.
Walliser’s reply raised eyebrows among netizens, as it was deemed “dismissive” and implied that the bride could not afford the service.

Despite the backlash, some netizens defended Walliser, saying that it’s normal for him to make sure that the client is serious in booking the Glambot because it is a high-end camera.
Director behind Glambot
Walliser is a Canadian filmmaker and music video director. He is known to be the director of the famous Glambot high speed camera used to capture slow-motion videos of celebrities on the red carpet in award shows such as The Grammys and Golden Globes.
The director is also known to have worked with famous celebrities such as Miley Cyrus, P!nk, Katy Perry, and Laura Marano.
Recently, Walliser was dragged into a controversy when a video of Jennifer Lopez on the red carpet at Golden Globes caught fans’ attention.
In the video, Lopez was seen to be avoiding engagement with the director while standing in front of the Glambot. Many fans didn’t like the singer’s attitude, leading to an online backlash.

In an Instagram video, Walliser quickly debunked the rumor, saying that she wasn’t rude to him.
“I didn’t take it personally. It didn’t feel rude at that moment,” he said. “I knew she was getting ready. I knew it was late. We were just getting through it.”
However, amid the new issue surrounding his email, Walliser has yet to release any comment or response.
