South Korean artist Choi Bo Min is stepping into a new phase of his career after officially signing with Universal Records Philippines and GLXY Talent Management.
His partnership with these companies represents a major milestone in his journey as both a singer and actor. The official signing took place during his first-ever visit to the Philippines on March 20, 2025.
Thrilled to be exploring new opportunities, Choi expressed his excitement: “This is my first time in the Philippines, and I’m really looking forward to the experiences ahead.” He was especially touched by the warm welcome from his Filipino fans, recalling, “I didn’t expect to see fans waiting at the airport, bringing flowers, local treats, and heartfelt letters. It made me feel incredibly grateful.”
The decision to collaborate with Universal Records and GLXY Talent Management stemmed from promising discussions with Ms. Kathleen Dy-Go of Universal Records in Korea last year. “We talked about so many exciting possibilities, and I felt completely confident in working with them. That’s why I’m here now,” he shared.
While in the country, Choi immersed himself in the local culture by trying Filipino cuisine, including barbecue and lechon kawali. Taking advantage of the tropical weather, he also took some time to relax, saying, “I went swimming—it’s freezing in Korea right now, but the climate here is just perfect.”
As he settles into this new phase of his career, Choi is gearing up to film a new series in the Philippines, which will keep him in the country for about a month. Alongside his acting projects, he is keen to develop his music further and has voiced interest in collaborating with Filipino singer-actor Sam Concepcion, mentioning, “I really admire his musical style.”
Grateful for the enthusiasm of his Filipino supporters, Choi shared a heartfelt message: “Filipino fans are so kind and welcoming. Whenever I work here, I want to give my best effort. Please look forward to everything I have coming up—thank you!”
This new partnership with Universal Records and GLXY Talent Management is set to open doors for Choi Bo Min, allowing him to take his talents to an international audience while deepening his connection with the Filipino entertainment scene.
