Let’s look back at one of last year’s disturbing trends, the Kylie Jenner Lip Challenge. Apart from proving our generation’s stupid obsession with FOMO and its disastrous consequences, it solidified the year’s beauty trend – luscious lips.
In honor of World Lips Day, we present 5 to die for celebrity puckers (who need no help from the lip challenge!)
1.Kiko Mizuhara
You may recognize the stunning beauté as Mikasa on the live action film Attack on Titan. The Japanese-American personality is a certified quadruple threat; as an actress, she starred in the film adaptation of Murakami’s Norwegian Wood. She is also a singer, designer, with collections like Bad Girl of the 90s spawning outfits worn by Beyonce and Rihanna and an accomplished model, even considered as one of the prominent figures shaping the global fashion industry today.
2. Tom Hardy
We all know the BAGQMF who stole the spotlight in 2015’s The Revenant, where he was nominated for Best Supporting Actor. The English hunk, who debuted in 2001’s Black Hawk Down, continues to delight moviegoers with his acting prowess (and dashing good looks!) in films like Inception, The Dark Knight Rises and Mad Max: Fury Road.
3. Rihanna
With a cupid’s bow you can see from a mile away, you just know we can’t make a list like this without Queen Riri. The Barbadian star twerked her way to the charts with infectiously catchy hip-hop classics like Umbrella, We Found Love and Don’t Stop The Music. Just recently, she showed a more experimental side in her new album Anti, with the carrier single Work slowly making its way to summer anthem status.
4. Douglas Booth
There is nothing sexier than a prominent jawline outlining a shapely pair of lips on a man’s mug. You get all that and more with rising star Douglas Booth, who starred in romcom LOL with Miley Cyrus, Boy George biopic Worried About The Boy, the 2013 film adaptation of Romeo and Juliet and the upcoming Pride and Prejudice and Zombies.
5. Kerry Washington
Primetime Emmy, SAG and Golden Globe award winner Kerry Washington rose to fame in ShondaLand series Scandal. Her character Olivia Pope is known for her strong-minded personality, stellar fashion choices and for being one of the few female, African-American protagonists in the small screen today.
