Our favorite K-Pop boy band BTS is back in full force to spread some positive vibes during these tough times.

Just when we thought we couldn’t get enough of BTS and their Map of the soul: 7 ~ The Journey ~ Japanese album released earlier last month, the group announced during a live broadcast on July 26 that they are going to release a new single “Dynamite” on August 21.

The group made it clear that part of the reason why they will release the single earlier than expected was because they wanted to share positive energy to all of their fans that are staying home during this pandemic. So the timing could not have been any better for BTS’ growing global market that started to jump in on the “New Princes of Pop” wave.

“We are preparing an album for the second half of this year but decided to first release a single because we wanted to reach our fans as soon as possible,” BTS leader RM said during a broadcast on Naver’s V Live Platform. RM continued, “Due to COVID-19, people around the world have been going through tough times and we wanted to share some positive energy with our fans.”

The single will also be the first time for every member of the boyband to sing in English.

“This is a new challenge for us as well, we thought that the song sounded perfect as it is in English. We recorded the guide version and felt that the result was something totally new and fresh.”

The group is expected to make headlines this month with their upcoming Dynamite promo schedule.

The official music video for Dynamite will be released on August 21 and BTS has already smashed records earlier this year with their fourth album “Map of the soul: 7” which sold more 500,000 copies in the US and was No 1 on the Japanese Oricon album charts, becoming the first foreign act to receive the honor in 36 years.

The group is also set to perform Dynamite for the first time at the MTV VMA’s which will be aired on August 30. (August 31. for the Philippines), where they are nominated in categories for Best Pop, Best K-Pop, and Best Choreography.

BTS is expected to release an album during the latter half of the year and their upcoming single Dynamite should give the BTS army a little taste of what’s to come.
