The University of the Philippines (UP)-CIFAL Philippines will host the online discussion, “The Future of Tourism in the Time of COVID-19” on 13 August 2020, 2:00 PM (Manila Time).
Resource persons from the national government, academe, non-government organization, and the United Nations World Tourism Organization will talk about the challenges posed by COVID-19 to the tourism sector, and possible recovery measures and sustainable strategies to help address the issues on the industry brought by the pandemic.
Joining the pool of experts are Sec. Bernadette Romulo-Puyat, and ASec. Roberto P. Alabado III of the Department of Tourism; Prof. Richard Philip Gonzalo of the University of the Philippines – Asian Institute of Tourism; President of the Philippine Farm Tourism Development Association, Ms. Josephine Costales; Mr. Randy Durband, Chief Executive Officer of the Global Sustainable Tourism Council, and the Chief of Tourism Market Intelligence and Competitiveness of the United Nations World Tourism Organization, Ms. Sandra Carvao.
