A paragliding instructor drifted through the sky while watching TV and lounging on a couch attached to a large parachute.
Hasan Kaval carried out the unusual stunt in the Muğla province in Turkey on July 2, as per the Daily Mail last Friday, July 3. The 29-year-old also posted a video of his short adventure on his YouTube page.
Kaval installed a red leather sofa and a flat-screen TV on a customized black metal frame with wheels. The instructor also included a lamp and a footstool on his creation.
The frame was then attached to a large parachute. After Kaval settled himself onto the sofa, his friends pushed the metal frame off of a hill.
Once he was airborne, Kaval relaxed and switched his rubber shoes for a pair of slippers. He also opened a bag of chips and a can of soda as he turned on the TV.
While there were no straps pinning Kaval onto the couch, he insisted that he was not worried.
“I wasn’t scared, my friends trusted me,” he said in the report. “It was fine.”
Kaval continued to record himself on the sofa as he glided over clear blue waters before eventually making his descent.
He then lands safely on the ground by a beach and gets off the sofa. As the short clip ends, it shows Kaval and his friends attaching the sofa on to the metal frame.
Following the stunt, Kaval expressed that he felt good and relaxed. According to the report, he first came up with the idea for the unusual flight “a couple of years ago.” JB
