Blackpink hits 1.2B views for ‘DDU-DU-DDU-DU’ on YouTube

Korean girl group Blackpink seems to be setting all kinds of records on YouTube recently—first, with the release of their latest music video “How You Like That,” which garnered 1.65 million viewers on its premiere airing; and now, their music video for “DDU-DU-DDU-DU” just hit 1.2 billion views on YouTube, making it the first k-pop group music video to do so.

The 2018 music video reportedly hit the 1.2 billion mark today at approximately 8:08 a.m. KST, after only a little over two years on the video platform.

Aside from “DDU-DU-DDU-DU,” the only other music videos from k-pop stars that reached the same milestone on Youtube are PSY’s “Gangnam Style” and “Gentleman.”

K-pop boy band BTS’ music video for “DNA” is not too far behind, with over 1 billion views.
