You can now experience papal life with this upcoming ‘Pope Simulator’ game

Being a pope means having two roles–being the head of the Catholic church and being the leader of the Vatican City. According to Reader’s Digest, the bishop of Rome has everything he needs but he does not own any of it because it will be provided by the members of the Church.

Most of us probably are curious to know how a pontiff’s daily life looks like–how it feels to stand on a balcony in front of thousands and be the pillar and guide of the Roman Catholic faith.

For that reason, game publisher Ultimate Games S.A. developed a simulation game called Pope Simulator, wherein players can experience the papal life through virtual reality.

The publisher explained on their website what the game is all about:

“Realistic simulator of the Pope – face the problems of the modern world from the point of view of the head of the Church. Make decisions that will weigh on the fate of humanity, convert and support the crowds. Plan the church’s strategic actions through faithful envoys. Manage your travels around the globe. Fight for peace.”

The simulation video game starts with a private meeting, wherein you can choose your personal coat of arms and the course of the pontificate. You can also add more skills such as building stronger faith and improving oratory competence. However, your character will get weak every time you boost other people’s faith as a consequence. When this happens, the only thing you need is to pray which allows you to sum up your achievements.

Other game features include the unveiling of Vatican’s secrets, fighting for world peace, and managing an influential leadership.

According to a Unilad report, CEO of Ultimate Games S.A., Mateusz Zawadzki said that the game is on its initial phase and they’ve released the first trailer for “illustrative purposes”.

“However, Pope Simulator is certainly a unique project demonstrating a serious approach to the subject,” he explained.

The Pope Simulator will be available for Windows (Core i3-6100 processor at least). And the release date has not yet been announced but the website assures that it is “coming soon”.
