Japan proves to be the country with the craziest idea yet again with the Lace Bra face masks

Trust Japan to have the craziest and most innovative ideas ever.

The pandemic has made us heavily dependent on face masks whenever we go out of our houses, and a manufacturer in Japan just released a line of face masks that will make you smile under it (especially if you’re just really, really into lace).

The face masks look like regular bra cups, but customized to close off your mouth and nose. It’s really a bra cup for your face, there’s just no other way to say it.

Prior to the virus outbreak, the manufacturer, Atsumi Fashion, actually specializes in lingerie, but due to a very high demand for face masks nowadays, they took the opportunity to expand their business and create their own very unique line of ‘lace bra face masks.’

The face mask started as a half joke according to the manufacturer, but after it gained considerable attention on social media, they went ahead with their initial production. The masks were sold at 14 USD (approximately 700 pesos) per piece, and after an initial release of 50 units in each of the five colors available, it was immediately sold out.

The manufacturer announced that a new batch of the face masks is now in production.

What a time to be alive (we say that with irony).
