Aussie chef shares DIY recipe for glazed doughnuts—and we can’t wait to try it

While it’s easy to just call your favorite food delivery service to get hold of your comfort food, nothing really tastes better than homecooked meals made with extra TLC. And in case you want to level up your cooking skills, Chef Rob Nixon (from Perth, Australia) has come up with a list of recipes that lets you recreate your usual fast-food takeout—be it Mcdonald’s McChicken or KFC’s Zinger.

According to LADBible, Nixon has a YouTube channel called Nicko’s Kitchen, where he usually uploads his so-called DIY recipes. But this time, the Perth-based chef decided to place his latest content on TikTok—and guess what? It went viral!

In a 1-minute video, Nixon showed TikTok users how to make their own Krispy Kreme glazed ring doughnut. Yes, that soft, fluffy donut topped with the coffeehouse chain’s signature glaze. So before we end up drooling, here’s what you need to do.

First, you need to mix milk, sugar, eggs, self-raising flour, butter, dried yeast, and nutmeg. Once the sticky dough is ready, it’s now time to knead it really patiently, shaped it into rings, then fry them on each side. For the glaze, whisk together icing sugar, water, and vanilla extract until you achieve the desired consistency.

And voila, your homemade doughnuts are ready!

It does sound like something you can easily whip up at home, right??? BRB, got to rummage the kitchen for some ingredients!
